Navigator Capital plans to acquire Sapal SA

Bosch Sapal

Beginning of September, we announced, that the Navigator Capital Group based in Munich, Germany, plans to acquire Écublens-based Sapal SA from Bosch’s Packaging Technology division. Contracts sealing this deal were signed on September 5, 2017. The purchase price has not been disclosed.

Sapal develops and manufactures machinery for the diefold wrapping of cheese, bouillon cubes and chocolate, and is one of the technology leaders in this area. “Being an independent company, we perceive Sapal to offer excellent opportunities to flexibly operate in this volatile segment and to evolve in a sustained and profitable manner,” explained Jakob Bleiker, head of product division Food, Bosch Packaging Technology.

We are confident that with Navigator we have succeeded in locating a suitable new owner who will enable to successfully drive Sapal’s business forward. Dietmar Gundel, partner of Navigator Group, said, “I had a very good impression at the very first contact: quality of the machines, market potential and highly motivated employees form an excellent basis for further development of the company.”
