Dave Cousins has been named the new Director of Sales for pharmaceutical liquid products in North America.
Dave grew up in Minneapolis, graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.A. in Microbiology and an M.S. in Food Science & Technology, and, later in his career, obtained an MBA from the University of St. Thomas. His career path took Dave through positions as Lab Manager in Arcadia, WI at Dairyland Labs, Product Specialist and later Territory Sales at Radiometer America in Cleveland, OH, and then to TL Systems (Sales, Northeast Region) for 6 months prior to the acquisition of TL by Bosch. Dave then moved to covering the Southeast territory for Bosch liquid & dry pharmaceutical products for a few years before moving to Midwest sales for liquid pharma for over a decade. Dave lives in Plymouth, MN with his wife (Lisa) and two children, enjoys biking, golf, reading, A&E and travel.

Well, as you can tell from the photo to the left, the Bosch Packaging Technology facility in Brooklyn Park will definitely have a snowy holiday season. That was assured after our 5th-biggest snowstorm ever.Whether the weather in your neck of the woods looks like this, or is less demanding of a snow-thrower, we at Bosch wish you a very happy and safe holiday season!
The new capsule filling machine Capsylon GKF705 has been on the market since May 2010. It thus completes the cost-optimized Capsylon machine family, consisting of the Capsylon 705 (up to 42,000 capsules/h), Capsylon 1505 (up to 92,000 capsules/h) and Capsylon 3005 (up to 175,000 capsules/h). Thanks to the excellent reputation of the already established Bosch GKF models, the first orders were placed in a very short time. Several Capsylon 705s, which produce up to 42,000 capsules an hour, were ordered for dietary supplement and health care products as well as pharmaceutical products. Prior to placing their orders, the manufacturers, all of which are small companies, initially considered capsule filling machines from aggressively-priced competition, however, they finally decided on the Bosch model Capsylon 705 – and thus on Bosch as business partner for the first time – because of the obvious advantages for their production and the intrinsic value. …more
Improved detection of fluid in the vacuum line
This kit replaces the electronic vacuum system moisture sensor with a fiber-optic sensor, resulting in improved stability and reliability. The sensor does not make physical contact with the fluid, and the signal of the sensor is routed through a high gain amplifier. The kit includes mounting hardware, cables, wiring materials and schematics. Some modifications may be necessary to mount the new sensor block. …more
