Bosch Packaging Technology today announced a cooperation with Lighthouse Instruments, LLC, headquartered in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA. The cooperation will result in a new machine series for pharmaceutical container closure integrity (CCI) testing with laser headspace analysis (HSA) exclusively marketed by Bosch. To this end, Lighthouse will exclusively license and supply Bosch with laser measurement systems for automated pharmaceutical leak detection applications.

At the same time, Bosch Packaging Technology K.K. in Japan and its Japanese subsidiary Eisai Machinery Co., Ltd. completed their merger into Bosch Packaging Technology K.K. With this move, Bosch Packaging Technology, one of the leading suppliers of processing and packaging technology, has completed the next step in the integration process of its subsidiary Eisai Machinery into the worldwide Bosch network. Acquisition strengthens position in the pharmaceutical market
Stuttgart/Tokyo – Bosch Packaging Technology plans to acquire the machinery business companies of Eisai Co., Ltd., one of the leading Japanese pharmaceutical companies based in Tokyo. Respective agreements were signed on February 8th, 2012.
