At PharmaExpo 2014 in Chicago, IL, Bosch Packaging Technology introduced the latest expansion to its liquid filling product portfolio – The FHM 1000 laboratory series.

The FHM 1000 laboratory series is a semi-automated table top solution for laboratory filling developed in close co-operation with our customers. Its modular configuration allows all the functions of a pharmaceutical liquid filling operation to be tested in a lab environment. Latest updates on the new TPR 500 Tablet Press

Come see the newest addition to the Bosch portfolio, the TPR 500 tablet press, at the PharmaExpo show in Chicago!  The show runs November 2-5 and is at the same time and location as the PackExpo trade show at McCormick Place.

Bosch will be unveiling the TPR 500 for the first time in North America.  The machine has a small footprint with a high output of over 400,000 tablets per hour.  The TPR 500 highlights Bosch’s advances in tabletting technology, including a fully exchangeable turret for quick changeovers, torque drive for reduced maintenance, integrated die plate allowing for a 56 station turret with standard tooling, and 2 or 3-paddle feeders for optimal flowability of powders, to name a few features.  The machine comes equipped with  new state-of-the-art controls and software that ensures an intuitive user interface.

Radiopharmaceuticals are special tracer substances, which, in conjunction with radionuclides, are used in the diagnostics or therapy of diseases. Given their short half-life, these must be produced “on demand” and used as soon as possible. Due to radiation levels, the manufacturing process has to be conducted in so-called hot cells – areas shielded by lead plates and lead glass.
