The history of Bosch’s well-known sterilization tunnel began in the beginning of the 1970s. The engineer Ingbert Pennekamp was assigned to design a new tunnel for ampoules. In the greatest secrecy, the new model started taking shape in the assembly hall. Instead of developing the current equipment further, Ingbert Pennekamp set out to develop a groundbreaking technology. “It was our goal to provide customers with one solution for the entire process, thus facilitating their daily work,” Ingbert Pennekamp reports. Bosch Packaging Highlights from the Pharmex Asia Trade Show in Thailand

Bosch Packaging recently participated in the Pharmex Asia trade show in Bangkok, Thailand.  Bosch had a full booth, displaying an FLT small-batch vial filler, Capsylon 705 capsule filler, XP 100 R&D tablet press, and a Solidlab 1 R&D fluid bed with tablet coating insert.  We had a good turnout, with delegates visiting our booth from all over the world.

AIM 8: taking inspection technology to the next level

Following months of intense work, Bosch Packaging Technology proudly presented the first model of an entirely new generation of fully automated inspection machines at Interpack 2014 in Dusseldorf, Germany – the AIM 8 series. On February 28 and March 1, 2014, Bosch Packaging Technology, a leading supplier of process and packaging technology, held its Pharma in-house show in Hangzhou, China. The in-house show offered pharmaceutical industry experts an opportunity to explore current trends and developments in both pharma solid and liquid packaging technologies. “It was a successful in-house show, and the level of interest from customers upholds our strong confidence in the Chinese market and further success in the near future,” said Jerome Freissmuth, the pharma plant manager in Hangzhou. Eisai Machinery Becomes Bosch

As of January 1, 2013, the Eisai Machinery companies in Germany, China and North America were renamed to Bosch Inspection Technology. At the same time, Bosch Packaging Technology K.K. in Japan and its Japanese subsidiary Eisai Machinery Co., Ltd. completed their merger into Bosch Packaging Technology K.K. With this move, Bosch Packaging Technology, one of the leading suppliers of processing and packaging technology, has completed the next step in the integration process of its subsidiary Eisai Machinery into the worldwide Bosch network. Inspection technology is used in the area of liquid pharmaceuticals, for instance with ampoules, pre-filled syringes or vials, as well as in the production of solid pharmaceuticals such as tablets.
